Powerball ticket worth $1M bought at Jersey Shore convenience store

The $1 million Powerball ticket purchased in New Jersey for Saturday’s lottery drawing was sold at a convenience store in Ocean County.
The Powerball winner bought the second-prize ticket at Quick Stop on West Bay Avenue in Barnegat, state lottery officials said.
It matched five numbers but not the Powerball and was the only second-prize ticket sold nationally.
In addition, a pair of $50,000 tickets were sold in New Jersey for Saturday’s drawing.
One third-prize ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop on Route 27 in the Franklin Park section of Franklin, Somerset County. The other winner was sold at a 7-Eleven on Main Street in New Milford, Bergen County. Both matched four numbers plus the Powerball.
No one across the country hit either Saturday’s $92 million or Monday’s $103 million jackpot. There were no $1 million tickets sold for Monday’s drawing.
Saturday’s winning numbers were: 11, 24, 50, 56 and 66. The Powerball drawn was 16, with a Power Play of 2X.
Monday’s winning numbers were: 3, 21, 24, 34 and 46. The Powerball drawn was 9, with a Power Play of 3X.
Wednesday’s jackpot is worth an estimated $113 million with a cash option of $54 million.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is valued at an estimated $361 million with a cash option of $169.2 million.
